The important things in life often go without a notable beginning. They just sort of happen and before you know it your smack in the middle of a friendship, class, hobby or even your walk with God. Many of us don’t even recall the date in which we accepted the Lord as our Saviour, because we were raised with Him. I actually didn’t know that was something people did until I was in my late teens. I believed in God, I don’t know when I began or why, it just was and still is. Though, I do remember the day I officially prayed God into my life. It just felt like the right thing to do, everyone else had a date, why shouldn’t I?
We are given an inch and we take a mile or two or more and before we know that we have even taken those first few steps we are long past the starting line, hearts racing, sweat forming and wondering to ourselves how we managed to begin this race called life.
When we write I think we notice the beginning a lot more than at other times because we sit there with a blank page, pen in hand, cursor blinking and we wonder what those first words should be. How do we say what we want to say? What should we say at all?
This is the final week that Lisa-Jo is hosting Five Minute Fridays and then next week we move over to a new host, a new site to start on, new beginnings and while we say goodbye to linking up over with Lisa-Jo it isn’t necessarily the end. It is only the beginning of a change, of something new.
Beginning again exactly where we left off in a completely new place. A ministry that keeps on giving and a boatload of dreams coming to fruition all because God decided that we should all meet up, link up, speak up, and show love in His Holy Name.
In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
